Getting to the Gorge & Where to Stay
Getting Here
From Australia to right across the river in Carson, we are grateful to all of our loved ones who are making the journey to Hood River to celebrate with us!
Driving:
Seattle - Hood River: 3 hrs 30 minutes
Olympia - Hood River: 2 hrs 30 minutes
Yakima - Hood River: 2 hrs
Flying:
Hood River is just under an hour from the PDX airport. For our out-of-town guests, we suggest you fly into Portland and rent a car to drive to Hood River. You will likely not be able to find a ride share service that will take you that far. SEATAC is another option for those flying in if you have friends/family who can drive you down together.
For those coming from Seattle, you will pass through Portland on your way to Hood River. If you’re picking up out of towners, you can also grab them from PDX and finish the scenic drive together! Stop in at Cafe Olli for a preview of our dinner on the big day or at Sugarpine, a historic drive-thru on the highway.
Where to Stay
Suggeted Hotels, Airbnbs & Rental Properties
Hood River and the surrounding area has a wide-variety of lodging options. We highly suggest you book as soon as possible since the area is a very popular tourist destination in the late summer months. Below you’ll find a list of hotel, Airbnb, and Columbia Gorge Vacation Rental options that we have hand selected! Whether you want riverside, downtown, or up near the mountains, we’ve got options.
Please note as of December 2024, most hotels in the Hood River area are booked for our wedding weekend. We’ve edited the options below. Please book your accommodations as soon as possible!
Please note that Hood River just got Uber in 2024. We want our guests to have a safe weekend, and strongly encourage you to consider your drinking plans (we know our audience)in booking your lodging. There are taxis, and we will have shuttles to and from the wedding. Please be safe!
Please note in your RSVP where you are staying so we can edit our shuttle route if needed.
Hotels & Resorts
210 N Cedar St
Bingen, WA
Just across the river on the Washington side, the Society Hotel offers a spa, pool, sauna, cold plunge, cafe & library. Rent one of the private cabins for a more luxe experience.
1108 E Marina Way
Hood River, OR
Riverside, rooms available, and close to downtown hood river via a short drive.
1131 SW Skamania Lodge Way
Stevenson, WA 98648
Right down the street from our venue, the Westcliffe Lodge is an older, remodeled hotel right on the river. While remodeled, the accommodations are more “rustic” than a typical hotel. This is probably the most conveniently located of all options, but it is not entirely modern.
866 Highway 141
White Salmon, WA
Small, boutique hotel in White Salmon, WA which is on the other side of the river. The hotel is attached to a wine bar and ice house! We suggest staying here if you have a DD after the wedding as it is unlikely a cab will take you across the river late-night.
1131 SW Skamania Lodge Way
Stevenson, WA 98648
Stevenson is about 40 minutes east of Hood River on the Washington side. If you are looking for more of a resort experience (and the best golf course in the Gorge) this is the spot for you! The resort also partners with local outfitters and can arrange kayaking tours, rafting, etc. Again, please be mindful that an uber or taxi will not take you this far post-wedding, so please plan accordingly.

Amy from Columbia Gorge Vacation Rentals has been helpful in identifying properties that are centrally located in the Downtown area. She manages multiple units in each property, so if you are part of a large group, you can have the option of booking side-by-side units. We’ve made a spreadsheet that breaks down the options.
